My sister Anuradha, 42 years old living in Hyderabad, India was diagnosed with Spinal Tuberculosis in March 2016 which had paralysed her neck down and made her bedridden. She was also diagnosed with advanced stage of breast cancer in Oct 2016 and they recommended 8-10 sittings of chemotherapy, a mastectomy and 25 treatments of radiation therapy. Because of her peculiar test results doctor has further recommended treatment of "Trastuzumab Emtansine" injection once every 3 weeks for 17 months which costs $1,500 for each dose. Having exhausted all her resources she informed the doctor that she cannot afford the treatment anymore and will leave it in God's hands. Unable to cope with this she went into acute depression with occassional thoughts of suicide to avoid being a burden to her family.
She has a husband and a teenage son whose lives have been completely disturbed by this ongoing suffering in the family for the past 2 years.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so my sister can continue with her treatment and get back to normal life to take care of her family.
