On March 22nd, Adunni traveled to India as part of her master’s program. On her return flight home, she suffered a sudden heart attack. Her passing was completely unexpected, and our family is still trying to process this unimaginable loss. Adunni was only 40 years old.

Adunni was a light to everyone around her. She was loving, creative, and deeply supportive. As an artist, a lifelong learner, and an adventurer, she inspired others to embrace life fully and with compassion. Even at 40, she was pursuing her master’s degree, always striving to grow and better herself. Her warmth and kindness touched so many lives.

Adunni shared an incredibly close bond with her mother, Helena. They were not only mother and daughter, but best friends who lived life side by side. They shared a home, daily routines, laughter, and dreams. Now, Helena is facing a profound loss, both emotionally and in her day-to-day life, as she adjusts to a world without Adunni by her side.

She also leaves behind her beloved younger brother, Rotimi, who is grieving the loss of a sister who meant so much to him. The bond they shared was deep, and this loss has left a lasting void in his life as well.

In addition to this heartbreak, Helena is now facing the financial burden that comes with such a sudden loss. The funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and help provide stability for housing, utilities, and essential living costs during this difficult time.
