Adrienne's brain atrophy

With a humble heart, we’re asking for help to continued exosome (from umbilical cord stem cells) treatments for my precious wife Adrienne.  Doctors suspect she has a progressive brain disease called OPCA (Olivopontocerebellar atrophy) where the cerebellum progressively dies.  It’s the part of the brain that controls motor skills, balance, speech, etc..  A recent MRI shows she only has 35% left and doctors told us nothing could be done to stop the progression.  Over the past month she went from using a walking stick to walker (mostly at night when fatigue set in).  Dizziness and headaches were constant and she wasn’t able to look up or down without nearly collapsing.  She was falling a few times a day.

Out of desperation, we started researching stem cell therapy and learned about exosomes.  Exosomes are the active ingredient inside a the stem cell that promote cell regeneration.  Just within the last few years, labs have figured out how to extract exosomes from the stem cell and multiply them for reinjection into the body.  Results have been astonishing.  With nothing to lose, we jump on a plane and went to an exosome clinic in San Diego called Joy Wellness.  Highlighting how sever Adrienne’s condition has become, the flight attended asked if she was drunk as we exited the plane.

Hope.  The exosome treatment at Joy Wellness provided incredible results.  They administered 4 billion exosomes into her blood and 8 billion into the spinal cord at the base of her skull.  Within 48 hours she walking significantly straighter and the dizziness mostly went away.  It was an a gift from God, an answer to our prayers.  Obviously her condition still exists and the cerebellum continues to atrophy, but this is the first sign that it may be reversed.

The treatment plan for the next twelve months is to infuse her brain with as many exosomes as possible to grow new neuro pathways in her cerebellum.  Since exosomes lose the ability to regenerate after 90 days, we need to do this every three months for the next year.  After that we’ll transition to a more manageable maintenance program.  We paid the first exosome treatment of $11,000 (excluding travel) out of pocket since insurance doesn’t cover it, but the estimated cost for four additional treatments (with travel) is $50,000.  We are hoping to raise $30,000 to make this financially manageable for us until we move to the maintenance phase.

This is an incredible scary time for our family so we’re asking for your prayers and financial help until we get in front of this devastating disease.  OPCA likely took the life of her mother in the most heartbreaking way.

With love and hope in Christ,
Jody and Adrienne
