Hello, I am Amber and I am starting this fundraiser for my mother, Adrienne Miceli-Trask. My mother, Adrienne, has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer after the doctors discovered a mass inside her colon. This shocking news explains why Adrienne has been feeling so sick for so long. This journey truly began last summer in 2023. Adrienne began feeling unwell, experiencing persistent bouts of severe nausea, body aches, fatigue, and headaches, which were becoming more frequent, she knew something wasn't right. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she continued to rise each day to go to work, to take care of her home, animals, and to be present in her family and community. Autumn rolled around, and her symptoms were growing worse each day. It was becoming difficult for her to hold down her meals, causing her to lose her strength. At this point, Adrienne knew something was really wrong, so she scheduled herself an appointment to see her doctor, however, the wait was long. She knew it would be several weeks, if not months, before she had answers. During this uncertain time, Adrienne lost her job. The stress of
her reality truly began to set in.
Adrienne persistently fought against her weariness and pain to keep herself
employed, but interview after interview proved fruitless. Financial insecurity on top of her health and diagnosis has become a looming shadow in her life, causing her to experience intense depression and anxiety. She's been struggling to pay her bills, keep food in her home, and thus, living week to week, uncertain of how things will get paid, and her debt is
beginning to build. Adrienne isn't even sure how she will be able to afford the co-payments for her necessary medical treatment. I am humbly asking you for your help. My mom is struggling through this dire medical situation, literally fighting for her life, waiting for the surgery, not knowing for sure if the cancer has spread. The financial burden and the resulting stress that she is under is causing more health problems, making this a true crisis in our family. I can not bear to see her struggle and suffer, and I am asking for your help. Any little bit that you could share is immensely appreciated! Even just a drop makes a difference, for what is the ocean but a multitude of drops? Please help my
mother make it through this hardship so that she can focus her energy and attention on the fight for her life and health, so that she may be freed from the stress of food insecurity and financial uncertainty, and so that she can come out of this situation stronger! Adrienne needs to focus her strength on surviving and healing. We in the family are doing all we can to help, and so many of her friends have blessed her with giving acts of love. I only hope that I can pay it forward and return such graciousness with gratitude.
