Adriel's Pursuit of a Fulfilling Life

I'd like to preface this with the fact that I do not enjoy asking for money as it feels wrong personally. I am not in desperate need of this money and chances are, your donations could probably be donated to a cause or person who needs it more than I do. But I'd still appreciate your consideration. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Adriel. I'm 24 years old and I created this page because I wanted to start my own business. I'm currently working full-time and while I don't hate my job, it's just not very gratifying and I don't really derive much pleasure from it. To me, it's just a paycheck and nothing more. Unfortunately, I'm currently working paycheck to paycheck due to being on my own after my mother had a stroke early last year. While she thankfully recovered tremendously and has gone to live with other family, I unfortunately drained my savings and couldn't save any money to keep things afloat for a while. Any savings I had went towards moving out of our apartment after things settled down, and just last month(April,2025), the car I bought after I moved out broke down and was too expensive to repair, so I had to scrap it.

Which brings me to where I am now. I'm stuck, unable to do much as finding a better job is difficult and getting a second one, while possible, is personally unsustainable as I have ADHD and OCD. It takes a lot of mental energy to get through the day. Not to mention, my mother suffered a stroke due to stress and lack of rest. I don't want that to be me, especially after seeing how it took everything from her.

I'm currently just looking for the chance to live an honest life without looking over my shoulder, afraid of having everything taken away from me.

I'm good at working with my hands, so I was planning on starting a service business where I'd offer anything from:

• Detailing cars

• Power/pressure washing houses, driveways, dumpster pads, etc.

• Washing windows

• Painting awnings and house interiors

• Furniture and junk removal

• Graffiti removal

• Cutting grass

• Shoveling snow in the winter

• Raking leaves in the fall

• Cleaning kitchen exhausts

Anything that I can learn, apply, and offer as a service to others, that's what I find gratifying. I've just never had the opportunity to start due to fear caused by financial instability. I don't want a life where I'm merely surviving. I want to actually live too.
