Hello Everyone.
After a long battle with autoimmune disorders, after surviving a successful liver transplant, and after months spent fighting complications, my beloved husband Adrian's battle ended at 3am on 9/7/2022. I lost my best friend, my soulmate, and the other half of my heart.
I am completely devastated. Emotionally, spiritually, and financially as I now have to be able to arrange cremation and a funeral/Celebration of Life service for the man I love more than anything else in this world.
Thank you all for anything you are able to contribute to help overcoming this terrible situation I have been left with.

Hello all,
As many of you know, a handful of years ago my husband, Adrian, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called primary billiary cholangitis - a disorder where the body's immune system attacks the bile ducts in the liver. Because of this disorder, my husband's liver was severely damaged and for the past few years in both CA and GA, we have been working through the medical hoops needed to get onto the organ transplant list. Due to him being AB+, when he was placed onto the lists at Piedmont Atlanta, he was the top of their list (more unusual blood type). He was only placed fully at the beginning of March. We thought we would have a bit more time - even prepaid for a trip that was supposed to start on 3/31/2022 as his last big hurrah before the surgery... But the universe has a funny way of looking at plans and upending them (in this case, in the best possible way!)
On 3/25/2022, we received the call from Piedmont Atlanta 's Mason Transplant Clinic that they had a liver for him... And needless to say, that call definitely came way sooner than we - or they - expected it to.
On the morning of 3/26/2022, Adrian went into surgery for his liver transplant.
That said, recovery is going to be a long process, and we have not had the time to prepare for it (our paperwork hadn't even begun to be processed yet with the Georgia Transplant Foundation for grants or financial assistance). As I am the sole breadwinner for our household, we are facing both high medical bills and a major impact to my wages once my current PTO, Sick Time, etc. all max out at work. And then we also have the responsibility to pay for his first rounds of immunosuppressive medications once he is recovered enough to come home.
So... we are asking for help with the bills, and to make ends meet during his six weeks of recovery.
All funds will go towards Adrian's medical care, medications, and towards the bills (rent, utilities, cellphone, etc).
I recognize that the amount of money is... huge. It certainly makes me feel overwhelmed thinking about it. But despite us having good insurance, copays and surgery fees are incredibly expensive, immunosuppressive drugs are expensive, me being out of work for a few weeks during his recovery when he does get to come home, any and all assistance is greatly appreciated and welcomed.
Thank you,
Johnathan and Adrian Fii
