Adrian's Journey Against Leukemia
Donation protected
On March 2nd, 2025, my 9-year-old son Adrian was rushed to the ER with severe vomiting and high fevers that wouldn’t go away. When I saw him pale, lying there, staring into space, I knew deep down something was wrong. He was transferred to CHLA, where I received the news no parent ever wants to hear. They discovered leukemia, and he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Out of all my four children, Adrian is my happy, vibrant, energetic, extroverted, non-picky eater — what I lovingly call “my Golden Child” (a little secret between him and me ).
One night in the hospital, Adrian saw me trying so hard to hide my tears. But despite everything he was going through, he looked at me and said, “Don’t cry, don’t be scared. I’m not scared, so don’t be.” Those words injected me with a strength that’s carried me through ever since.
Many of you know I lost my mother two years ago in a car accident, and shortly after, my two youngest were diagnosed on the autism spectrum — forever changing my world. I’ve been taking hit after hit, doing my best to navigate everything life has thrown at me.
Esgardo (Dad) works tirelessly to provide for us, but with four children and the weight of this situation, he had to take a leave from work. And while we’ve been applying for every program possible to help sustain us on this journey, we’re finding ourselves in a financial hardship.
Many have reached out asking how they can help. If you feel moved to support us, whether it’s a small donation, groceries, or anything to help us get through this — it would mean the world.
Please keep my baby boy in your prayers. This journey is only just beginning. God bless you all.
