Adrianne Thomas

I am fundraising for my stepmother, Adrianne Thomas. Some may know my parents, Daniel and Adrianne Thomas. Daniel and Adrianne are pastors of New Beginnings Ministries, located at 900 Clocks Blvd, Massapequa, New York. My parents are caring and giving. They always pour their hearts into others and are concerned for the needs of others over their own.

Several years ago Adrianne was diagnosed with diabetes. Eventually, she discovered that her kidneys were failing and she had to be placed on dialysis. Adrianne did not lose hope and has kept a positive attitude despite her medical issues. She was placed on the transplant list and after extensive testing, it was determined that my sister was a match. Adrianne is only 58 years old and with this news, she was provided with hope for a healthy future. Adrianne has since had many unexpected medical hurdles preventing her from receiving the transplant.

Adrianne recently experienced severe pain in her legs. She noticed dark spots developing on her feet. In December, Adrianne was transported to the hospital due to low blood pressure. Adrianne went into cardiac arrest and thankfully was revived. Since December 2022, Adrianne has had to have her right foot amputated and half of her left foot. Adrianne is currently in rehab and will hopefully be returning home within the next 6 weeks.

These new medical challenges have caused financial stress and strain on my parents. With that being said the house is not wheelchair accessible. The bedrooms in the house are located upstairs, which makes it impossible for Adrianne to get up the stairs to her bedroom. With the funds raised the dining room will be transformed into a bedroom as well as adding a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

These new expenses were unplanned and unexpected at such an early stage of life. Any amount of support would be greatly appreciated.
