Hello, my name is Gabriela Martinez, I am Adrianna Lopez's cousin and the one setting up the GoFundMe. At just 26 years old she was struck by a drunk driver and suffered considerable injuries. The woman lost control, jumped the curb, and pinned her against the wall of the establishment she was outside of with her 2 1/2 year old daughter. Luckily, the baby sustained no injuries.
Thankfully Adrianna's life was spared. However, she has already undergone numerous procedures on her legs, one of them was thought so crushed and mutilated, that amputation has been discussed. The recovery will be long and difficult, and it is uncertain if she will ever have use of her right leg again. She will have to endure pain the rest of her life and she will be physically challenged as well. At this point the uncertainty of what is to come is frightening.
We are putting up a GoFundMe page at the request of the many people who have reached out asking how they can help. The money would be put towards Adrianna's medical expanses due to all the surgeries and extended stay at hospital is astronomical and child care.
