In December, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that had spread to my brain, lung, spine, and liver. After just four months of treatment, I am so grateful to share that all cancer lesions in my breast, lung, and liver are now gone! Only one significantly smaller lesion remains in my brain, and two small ones in my mid and lower spine. Once my chemotherapy is complete, I will continue with regular immunotherapy infusions. I am deeply thankful for my care team at Kaiser and Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health for their expertise and compassion throughout this journey.
I am also incredibly grateful for my loving partner, Miguel, who has truly been my rock through all of this. Much of the financial load has fallen on his shoulders, and his work ethic and unwavering support inspire me every day, even though I know it is difficult for him to see me go through this. Alongside Miguel, my two dogs and cats have been a constant source of comfort and motivation. They bring me joy and encourage me to stay active and engaged in daily life, and some of the contributions will go toward their daily care as well. My family is also incredibly supportive, and I connect with them daily.
Throughout this journey, I’ve been surrounded by incredible support, love, and encouragement from my network. From day one, I have felt no fear—only gratitude and faith. I believe I am meant to show others just how powerful our minds and faith can be, even in the darkest moments. Guided by Christ, I am learning to receive help from others and to trust in the grace that has carried me so far.
Taking this step to publicly ask for help is a big moment of growth for me, and I am deeply thankful for everyone who has reached out or offered support. By the Lord’s grace, we have been able to make ends meet so far, and my plan is to be cured and serve as a testimony for healing. Your support means the world to me, and I am grateful for any contribution you can make.
