Hi, my name is Daniela and it pains me to say that my mother, Adriana Colin Ramirez, just passed away. I'm starting a fundraiser here on Gofundme to help with her funeral expenses. She was a single mother of two; raising me, and my sister Leilani. We lost our mother, but my grandmother also lost her one and only daughter. She was all we had and life without her will never be the same.

My mother was diagnosed with Lupus when she was 20 years old and has had an especially difficult time with her health these past few years. About 3 years ago she had a Lupus flare up and required a kidney transplant, but she did not recieve one. She was in and out of dialysis treatment centers and has gone through many painful surgeries; one of which caused an eruption in her main artery. After that surgery, the graft on her forearm gave out, so the doctors had to reinsert the graft into her thigh. It caused her a lot of pain and caused an infection that left a hole as big as an orange on her inner thigh . Shortly after that, she was admitted to a small hospital in West Covina where everything really went down hill. Years of treatment had caused problems with her walking, unimaginable pain, and she had to take many pills everyday. What I admired about her most is that alhough she fought for her life everyday, the only thing she worried about was us. She was a warrior who fought till the last minute, and is now our guardian angel watching over us from heaven.

We took her to the hospital earlier this week where she was admitted for 5 days. She was discharged on Wednesday and we were able to spend Thanksgiving day with her. On Friday night, we had to take her back to the hospital because she wasn't feeling well again. She was diagnosed with a blood infection. The doctors told us it was due to years of dialysis. Even through all of that, she was still fighting for her life but on Saturday morning, right before dialysis, it happened. My beautiful mother's caring heart couldn't take it anymore...and she passed away. The news hit me harder than a truck, and like I'm stuck in some unbearable nightmare and I just want to wake up. Who would have thought that I would lose my mother, my best friend, my strength, my rock, my everything. We are doing our best to accept that my mother has passed away, but are finding peace knowing she is no longer in pain. Please, God, take her up to heaven and always keep our Angel by your side.
