Adriana, Young mum with cancer

In march of 2023 Adriana was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Unfortunately it wasn’t caught early enough and the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, her spine and her pelvis. Whilst it is unlikely that the cancer will ever leave Adriana’s body, it is driven by hormones so its growth can be controlled by different medications that force her into an early menopause.

The oncologist recently told Adriana that people with her diagnosis usually only live from 2 to 5 years. There are some that live a lot longer, and in rare cases some people go into full remission. We want to make sure Adriana is one of those people.

Adriana is the mother of two young boys, Beau (3) and Luca (1). She is also the owner of Charlie the kelpie and loving wife of her husband Tom. The toll that her medical condition takes on her is immense and affects her ability to care for and enjoy her family.

Earlier this year a dear friend set up a go fund me and lots of generous people donated money to help Adriana’s situation. That money has enabled her to develop a treatment plan which is improving her quality of life and helping to keep the disease at bay. Unfortunately this is an ongoing process, which is why we are asking for more help.

If you can spare any money, no matter how small, it will make a huge difference to Adriana and her family’s life. We are lucky that we live in a time where there are many treatments and therapies proven by science to help in the fight against cancer and to assist with pain management, improving the quality of afflicted peoples’ lives. We want to make sure that Adriana continues to have access to everything available.
