My heart is so heavy as I write this. A dear friend of mine, Adriana, is facing something I can’t fully wrap my head around. Her husband, Jesús Carrera, who is the primary provider for their family of 6, was detained by immigration yesterday on his way home from work. He’s a hard-working man who was simply providing for his family, but now he is separated from them, and the road ahead is full of unknowns.

Along with all the fear and heartbreak of this sudden separation, there are also practical realities—rent, bills, and legal fees that are more than Adriana can manage on her own while caring for their kids.

Jesús and Andriana are good people who love deeply, show up for others. Now, they are the ones in need.

I believe God always has more options and more hope than we can comprehend, and I trust He will make a way for this family. In the meantime, I would love to invite you to come alongside them. Any amount you can give—whether big or small—will make a real difference in helping them stay afloat during this season and reminding them they are not alone.

Mi corazón está muy pesado mientras escribo esto. Una querida amiga mía, Adriana, está enfrentando algo que ni siquiera alcanzo a comprender por completo. Su esposo, Jesús Carrera, quien es el principal proveedor para su familia de seis, fue detenido por inmigración ayer cuando regresaba del trabajo. Es un hombre trabajador que simplemente estaba proveyendo para su familia, pero ahora está separado de ellos y el camino que tienen por delante está lleno de incertidumbre.
