Family and friends, I am writing this on behalf of Adrian, Amanda, & family.

Adrian had contracted COVID-19 and was cleared to go back to work last Wednesday, he only worked one day, came home, and was complaining of horrible pain in his feet. Thursday, he began experiencing tingling and numbness in extremities, paramedics were called, and they were told it was an "anxiety attack" (all vitals were stable) and to "monitor him." Friday morning things were much worse, he was having a lot more numbness, pain, and could not stand. Paramedics were called, Adrian was taken to the hospital and admitted. After multiple tests to rule out a stroke it was determined he has Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which was caused by COVID. 
For those that are unaware, this is a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. It causes tingling, numbness, and can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body.
Those of you that know Adrian know he works hard to support his family; as a truck driver, he often works fourteen to sixteen hours a day. Adrian started working for a new company not too long ago and does not have a lot of time on the books for sick pay or leave.
Amanda works but does not make enough to cover all the expenses. She has been left trying to manage their household, advocate for Adrian and take care of the kids including their five-month-old daughter.  To say her hands are full and she is overwhelmed is an understatement! The worst part of all of this is she can't physically be by his side because of COVID.  She is in contact daily with his nurses and can speak to him by phone but even that is getting harder because he is continuing to get weaker and can barely hold his phone now.

Family and friends, I know we have all been impacted by COVID-19 in some way and are struggling to keep our own families above water.  If you are able to donate, please do so. Let us try to help ease some of the financial burdens their family will be incurring while Adrian is treated and recovers, any amount will help.
