Hello all. I am writing this on behalf of my good buddy Adrian (Adon)Hahn. Adrian called me the other day with the news that he had been diagnosed with a low-grade glioma measuring 5 cm in size located in the left frontal lobe. My heart sank upon receiving this news as did all his friends' hearts. Fast forward many appointments later and Adrian is now scheduled for surgery. Adon is one of those guys that has responded to his community and nation's call for help; whether this means that you might be having a heart attack, your house is on fire, or the town is going to burn in a forest fire...he’s been there. As a Father of two girls (age 16 and 20), Ski instructor, Ski patroller, Fire engine foreman, Hotshot, or Smokejumper...he’s been there to also educate, protect and serve the broader community. He has helped countless people, all while remaining extremely humble and modest. While handing out with Adon the other day, I introduced another long-time friend to him with the character explanation of: “If you were in the Mountains in the freezing cold with no coat, Adon would without hesitation, hand you his jacket and sit there and freeze to death”. I have known Adon for over ten years. Worked on the same crew, watched his family grow and depended on him in the more extreme conditions in the backcountry and as a friend. I am writing this to encourage you to give him a hand, as he has given his so many times. I asked Adon if he was ok with me setting up a go fund me page and he said that would be fine. Adon is now self-employed and minimally insured. Unable to work during this process, he is facing a lot financially. And it’s not going to be a quick fix. Let’s band together and help him out in this challenging time. If you're able to donate, please do. Thank you.
