Support to this campaign will directly help us recoup our tour income loss and help us to keep moving forward making music in this wild, scary, beautiful world. We believe in music and the connections it brings more than anything in the world and we pray that this setback will be only that and we will be back out there bringing our joy to stages everywhere again soon.

We were beyond excited to be getting back to it all post COVID and were just embarking on our first European tour since 2019. 30 days, 20 shows.... It was going to be glorious. On the big flight over though, Meredith started experience extreme stomach pain. Upon arriving in Edinburgh, Scotland we decided to go get checked out at the ER. That ER visit turned into an emergency bowl resection surgery for a perforation, a condition that could have quickly and easily become life threatening. It was a terrifying night, and inevitably we devastatingly needed to cancel our tour.

 

At the end of it all though we are keeping our gratitude highest on the list. Grateful that Meredith is on the road to recovery, grateful to be in a place with such an incredible medical system, grateful to our community friends and family for being our absolute rock through this.

 

We decided to start this go-fund-me reluctantly, we're not very good at asking for help. But the truth is that it won't just be our spirits that are crushed by having to cancel this long long awaited tour. We had already fronted a majority of the costs for the tour and we were relying on that income so we can keep making music. Additionally, we don't know yet what costs will be associated with such a major medical emergency in a foreign country.
