Adoption instead of Abortion

I am a midwife local to the Lake Almanor area. I have a patient who had intended to abort her baby. I also have a family who has had several losses in their fertility journey trying to have another child. The woman agreed to a private adoption with this couple (thanks be to God!).

In order for this to happen, I have committed to her that we would provide a trailer for her to live in, the adoption fees as well as her living and counseling expenses until 3mo postpartum. I know that as a community of churches we will be able to provide for the costs of the adoption as well as care for this mother, who is in a very desperate place.
