Our parents became foster parents in their older years, adopting four of the children that came into their hearts and home. Our youngest brothers have been an incredible blessing the last few years, helping to take care of our mom in her senior years. Unfortunately, our mother passed away unexpectedly, leaving us with a mortgage and unpaid bills. She did not have life insurance. We will be selling the house, but this takes time. The kids still living at home need a little assistance to get on their feet in the interim. They are in their very early 20s and were not expecting this day to come so soon. They were a tremendous blessing to her since the passing of our father a few years ago, stepping up and helping to assume roles and responsibilities that most people their age do not have to face. We are asking for assistance for them while the house is being sold so that they can stay in the house as long as possible and have a cushion to land on their feet. The older siblings are helping as much as they can, but assistance is still needed. They are in need of approximately $3,000 within the next two weeks to pay the bills and mortgage that is due the first of the month. We believe if we can get them over this initial hump, they will be able to manage the coming months while all the finances are getting settled. We are setting up an account to help pay these bills for them so that they can focus on grieving without the additional stress of household bills.
