Once upon a time, there were two best friends who prayed for children...
Our dream has always been to have four. We have both hoped for this since we were married.
Each of us needed Heather's body to be broken to be the family that we are. We would not have our lives and marriage to be any other way. We have grown so much closer to God and to each other.
Our children have broken stories and bodies as well. And yet Christ is the greatest gift given to us as a family. We are made whole in Him.
Kirra and Carl have been praying every day for years now for another brother and sister.
William was born November 9th prematurely and with some complications. He needs a family that can nurture him physically, emotionally, and especially in His Savior's love.
In this day and age, adoptions have become increasingly costly.
William's adoption costs are $22,000.
Because he was a stork baby (hospital drop-off), the funds are needed immediately (November 18) instead of in increments like many. Because his story is more complicated, his costs are higher.
He is 34 weeks but a healthy 5 lbs. He is no longer on oxygen and his heart and lungs are as healthy as can be expected. He is in NICU going through detox.
We always strive to love God more than we love each other, for only that way can we truly love. We hope to show our children a perfect friend and savior, Christ Jesus, in our words and lives. This is the best gift we can give them, Christ's unconditional, eternal love.
Our prayer is that, through a broken story, William can be made whole in our family, in Christ.
Please pray for us, for peace and wisdom and funds.
Please pray for William, for health, for safety, for a less painful detox, for no lasting effects, and most of all, that he would be the Lord's.
