Adopt the McClennan Family

Crystal Mclennan is 40 years old and until the last few months, felt like she was living a relatively healthy young adult life with her husband and pup, Charlie.

 

Unfortunately, over the last month Crystal noticed worsening abdominal pain and bloating. In a short span of time, Crystal and her family’s whole world changed. She was diagnosed with metastatic appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma. In spite of this trial, She calls herself a fighter and is currently undergoing chemotherapy with the endless support of her husband and parents who take turns at her bedside daily. In her room, you would find many posters with encouraging words and pictures of things that bring her joy to motivate her to keep pressing on. One of the contributing and ongoing stressors at this time is the financial strain of this hospitalization and diagnosis. Crystal is also saddened by possibly having to spend the holidays in the hospital. Crystal, her husband, and family are determined to battle this cancer.

 

Crystal has a generous heart and has dreamt about dressing up as Barbie to visit children's hospitals. She loves to hike and hopes to climb Mount Everest one day. Our medical teams have described this family as loving, kind, faithful, and optimistic.
