Hi, my name is Katie, my partner and I are on holiday in Mauritius and we are from South England. Whilst staying at our Hotel, these two dogs were wondering around the pool and were very friendly with the guests. Due to the nature of the Hotel and some of the guests being afraid of dogs, management had the dogs removed from the guests area. The Hotel staff weren’t very successful in catching the dogs, but the dogs trusted us and after a day of saying we do not want to betray the dogs trusts, we agreed to help them be moved. The dogs are very friendly suggesting they are not strays but have owners. The Hotel made a post to find their owners but unfortunately no one has come forward. The Hotel has been great in feeding the dogs and making sure they have plenty of water. My partner and I have been taking them on walks.

It would be unfair for the dogs to be released back onto the streets as their welfare would be at risk. There is no owner who is coming forward. Dogs shelters are over populated and they are loving dogs who deserve a good home and because of this we have been in contact with organisations to adopt them but as we live in the UK this is not a small project and the costs involved are extensive.
