Adopt a tree to support the survival of our Farm and the life's work of Secret Fine and the late James Habib Carouba.
Finca Secreta, a 125 acre Heritage Museum Farm in the Diamante Valley of Costa Rica, is now the last remaining land in the area keeping traditional farming alive.
Everything we have, we have put into this farm. What was once a monoculture plantation, is now a sustainably cultivated farm of exotic fruit and sustenance crops, but we need your help to carry on the regenerative vision of this land .
By adopting an exotic fruit tree or a cacao (chocolate) tree for a year, you are contributing to sustaining Finca Secreta, our 125 acre Heritage Museum , as well as our team of local caretakers and the community at large.
Update: 18 trees have been adopted with donations thus far. We have 1,482 left.
We feel that adopting trees is a nice way to stay connected to the farm and also a nice focus since the trees are what Jim put the bulk of his focus joy and time into. If we can get the majority of trees adopted the farm will have the support needed to continue and thrive. Since we bought the farm 14 years ago Costa Rica an agricultural country has become more expensive and maintaining a farm is now a philothropic endeavour. If i am dedicated to anything in this world it is caring for this farm and farming in general. Farming and soil regeneration is dear to my heart and is in need of support all over the world. Farming and soil are going extinct. So if you know anyone else who would be interested in a connection with our farm please encourage them to support the farm. We in turn support and preserve local seed, the knowledge of farming skills and the use of the latest science in soil regeneration.
