Hello, my name is Jack, and this GoFundMe is for my boyfriend's reduction mammoplasty operation. ( Which he recently got approval for in Illinois after 10 years of struggling in Memphis). However, much has happened since this and we're looking for $4000 to help pay for travel expenses, medication, medical copays, food, and one months rent while he recovers from the operation.
His current operation date is Oct. 8th 2020 so it's coming up very soon!
For those who are unfamiliar with my boyfriend, his name is Adonis K. and he is a 28yo trans-male [FtM] residing in Chicago IL who worked in the pet care industry for most of his adult life. He's been on this amazing journey of transition for over 2 years now and it's all been leading to this final leg. He currently works self employed as a freelance artist, costume fabricator, and media personality for youtube. Being now unable to bind (Flattening the chest to give a masculine appearance) due to irreversable damage and chronic pain from years of doing so, working from home is the only option currently until surgery. While he works extremely hard, he is without a car and must uber/lyft when he travels to and from the downtown doctors office/medical facility which can get very expensive. I recently sent him 40$ to get him home when he was stranded at the doctor for a few hours.
These last couple of months have been extremely tough and has put us both on trial due to a sudden recurring fever and random bouts of fainting that may be related to unknown underlying health issues before surgery and his pre-op.

With being negative for Coronavirus, more lab testing was needed. In order to find out what it is, he's been going in almost every other week to get poked, proded, and tested upon to make sure everything will work out for his operation, which had seriously strained funds that would have helped at this stage. We've been very nervous as we've been warned that this operation could end up causing costly complications to him if his probable conditions were not looked at, but I will be there traveling from Minneapolis to Chicago to assist and help him get through it all.
We ask for anything you are willing to donate, even as little as 1$, everything helps in this difficult time. I've been trying my best to help him out but I have been unemployed since May so I'm writing this on behalf of my man who is hesitant to make this in the first place. Our goal is 4000$ to cover any and all things that could come curve balling our way so he can get where he needs to be. We hope to end this chapter on a good note so he can get back to working in the outside world doing what he loves and finally being 'Adonis'.
