Help dear Adonis with medical bills.

Antonios Hatzidimitriou

Antoni, is a young man with severe medical issues due to his neurofibromatosis and benign tumors of the brain.

He was diagnosed when he was only 9 years old.

Antoni is coming to NY from Greece for MRIs, SCANs, BLOOD WORK, many other tests and treatment.

A group of doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital that have been following Antoni for over 20 years, will review these tests and recommend possible treatments.

These are expensive procedures. The family is unable to pay since the mom is also struggling with breast cancer.

Δύο Ιανουαρίου το 1992 ήρθε στην ζωή μας ένα αγγελούδι. Ο Αντώνης μας, απόλυτη ευτυχία για την οικογένειά μας . Ένα χαρισματικό παιδί μας ταξίδεψε σε μέρη μαγικά ονειρεμένα .. τα πρώτα βήματα του ,οι λέξεις η λατρεία του στην μουσική. Όμορφα χρόνια αξεπέραστα . Άρχισε η σχολική περίοδος, άριστος μαθητής.. Όλα πήγαιναν πολύ καλά... Ώσπου μια μέρα, απόγευμα δέκα Ιουνίου εφτά η ώρα, άρχισε να φωνάζει, βοήθεια το κεφάλι μου.... Τον πήγαμε αμέσως στο νοσοκομείο Παίδων Αγία Σοφίας, δεν μπορούσαν να καταλάβουν οι γιατροί την αιτία του τόσου έντονου πόνου ....εκεί βρέθηκε ο καθηγητής Γιουρουκος, ασχολήθηκε με το παιδί μας. Μετά από MRI μαγνητική τομογραφία, μας είπε ότι το παιδί μας έχει όγκο στο μυαλό.. διαγνώσθηκε με Neurofibromatosis..... Στην Ελλάδα δεν μπορούσαμε να το αντιμετωπίσουμε.. Ήρθαμε στην Αμερική.. Έκανε το χειρουργείο.. διάγνωση, αστροκυτομμα... θεραπείες στοχευμένες. Μετά από ένα χρόνο γυρίσαμε πίσω στην Ελλάδα. Η δουλειά του πατέρα του ήταν στην Ελλάδα... Συνέχεια ξανά γύρισε στο σχολείο.. μάνα του θρανίου δίπλα του ..κατά καιρούς έκανε και κάνει επιληψίες.. παίρνει αγωγή με βαριά φάρμακα. Τελείωσε το λύκειο με Άριστα. Μπήκε στη βιολογική σχολή.. δυόμισι χρόνια προσπάθησε αλλά δεν τα κατάφερε... Εμείς δίπλα του πάντα. Αργότερα ήθελε να γίνει Σεφ .. εμείς δίπλα του μαζί πηγαίναμε. Τελείωσε την σχολή.. Δεν γίνεται όμως να εργαστεί.. είναι αδύνατον .. Έχει απώλεια μνήμης... Τον Μάιο άρχισε να υποφέρει πάλι κάναμε μαγνητική τομογραφία.. δυστυχώς όμως έδειξε πάλι όγκο στον εγκέφαλο... Εδώ δεν τον αναλαμβάνει κανένας.. ενώ στο Columbia Presbyterian hospital έχει τους γιατρούς που τον παρακολουθούν. Ερχόμαστε στη Αμερική για την σωτηρία του παιδιού μας επιδεινώθηκε η κατάσταση..... Έκκληση για την ζωή του Αντώνη μας, εκλιπαρώ σας . Κάθε πνοή του, κάθε λεπτό είναι βάλσαμο της ψυχής μας.. Σας ευχαριστώ από τα βάθη της ψυχής μου .

On January 2, 1992, a little angel came into our lives. Our Antonis, absolute happiness for our family. A gifted child took us on a journey to magically dreamed places... his first steps, his words, his love of music. Unsurpassed beautiful years. The school term started, an excellent student... Everything was going very well... Until one day, on the afternoon of June 10 at seven o'clock, he started shouting, help my head.... We immediately took him to the Agia Sophia Children's Hospital, Athens, Greece….the doctors couldn't understand the cause of such intense pain .... Professor Louroukos was there, he dealt with our child. After an MRI, he told us that our child has a brain tumor.. he was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis..... In Greece we could not treat it.. We came to America.. He did the surgery.. diagnosis, astrocytoma.. .targeted therapies. After a year we returned to Greece. His father's work was in Greece... Continuity again he went back to school.. mother on the school desk next to him .. from time to time he has seizures.. he is treated with heavy drugs. He finished high school with honors. He entered college… he tried for two and a half years but didn't succeed... We always by his side. Later he wanted to become a Chef .. we went along with him. He finished school.. But he can't work.. it's impossible.. He has memory loss... In May he started to suffer again, we did an MRI.. but unfortunately it showed a brain tumor again... No medical doctor will take him as a patient.... while at Columbia Presbyterian hospital he has the doctors who follow him. We are coming to America to save our child, the situation has worsened....We appeal for the life of our Antonis, I beg you. Every breath of his, every minute is the balm of our souls.. I thank you from the depths of my soul.
