ADOLPHUS The Warrior: A King Gains His Wings
(March 20, 1972 - July 6, 2020)
Donations will be used to lay our father/brother/uncle/cousin to rest. He battled kidney failure for over 28 years, survived a staph infection and leg amputation, then succumbed to an infection caused by pneumonia. He didn't qualify for most life insurance due to his health history. It would mean the world to us if you can help give him a home going fit for the Warrior he is.
Our Warrior, Adolphus Nathaniel Joyce, Jr. (a.k.a. Dolphus) was a family man who is loved and cherished by many. His smile, charisma and wise words remain engrained in our hearts. He prided himself in raising his kids as best he could, even if it meant battling multiple health challenges to be there for "his babies". He loved singing off-beat (lol), doing his signature dance moves, football, telling "back in my day" stories, and spitting wisdom from the top of his head, whether through poetry or advice. Best of all, he loved seeing his loved ones happy especially his girls.
He is truly a beautiful soul who will be missed. His heart was made of gold and his spirit shined brighter than a diamond glistening in the sun. He remains a warrior whose strength is like non other.
Growing up, he truly prided himself in eating healthy and staying active, which is why his health complications are a mystery. Throughout the years, he battled kidney failure, a staph infection, a leg amputation, as well as multiple surgeries and dialysis treatments.
Heaven needed an angel. On Monday, July 6, 2020, Dolphus earned his wings while loved ones surrounded him with prayers and comfort. He found his peace.
Adolphus battled so much while on earth, so it is only right we give him a celebration fit for the Warrior of God he is, with your help.
