ADNC End Of Year Fundraiser

Greetings, my name is Phillip Scott. I’m the principal and executive journalist for African Diaspora News Channel. We’re based out of Houston, Texas and our platform has been a voice in the world for the Global
Black family. Our platform was called The Advise Show from 2012-2018. After my first trip to Ethiopia, I realized we needed to focus on producing international content. We dropped the old name and became African Diaspora News Channel. From 2018-2021 we built a great infrastructure to produce daily news content. News and information are the most aspects of our lives. Without news and information, we could easily be swept up in the dishonest reporting we see today that targets our community. Our platform, with the various contributors, has been the place where truth is presented, and propaganda destroyed. As we seek to continue our work, we need your help. Platforms like ours that focus on our community aren’t supported by investors, banks, and corporations. We are only supported by the people, and this is where you come in. In order to grow one of the most important platforms for the Black community, we need to expand. With your help in this fundraiser, we can do just that. You may ask, what is your plan for growth in 2022?

1. We will focus on branding & marketing. The main issue many Black businesses have is that people don’t know they exist. We will invest funds in marketing in several countries to get our name out there. We will also create a marketing team that dedicates their time to this goal. We can’t depend on social media algorithms to promote our platform.

2. We will focus on getting our program on DSTV. DSTV is a major network that’s viewed in many African countries. Even though many in the West view content on phones, tablets, and computers. On the continent many still watch TV. In order to expand our platform, we will focus on this endeavor.

3. We will grow our team by hiring additional journalists, graphic designers, editors, and support staff.

4. We will give raises to current staff.

5. We will purchase new software & equipment that’s needed to make content in the field.

6. Partner with other companies to help bring more people to the African continent on group trips.

We as a community can make everything on our list for growth happen. It’s nothing we can’t do together in unity. Black media is one of the most important aspects of our community.
