Greetings to you-

It is with the humblest sentiment that we cordially introduce you to...The Quarters, a fusion of N’awlins and MidWest Cuisine that combines the taste of grass-roots midwest style cooking with the down-home tastes of southern-creole!

The passion behind the dream and the materialization of The Quarters stems from growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the “feeling” that was felt when coming to the table to feast on good food. With my maternal grandmother being a native of Mississippi, sitting down to a good home cooked meal with all the “fixin’s” literally touched the souls of those partaking, evoking laughter, and the warm feeling of togetherness and pure love was felt then and now! After residing in Mississippi myself for almost 10 years I frequented New Orleans and loved the southern hospitality, down-right good food and the rich look of the French Quarters!

Inevitably, The Quarters will draw our customers with the taste of good food, how it makes them feel, coupled with the uniquely designed menu and the fact we are cost efficient, with that bond there is no loosing! In staying versed in our ever changing economy, we sought out the Historical Kent District with the goal of revitalizing the area financially by creating an influx of potential clients for surrounding businesses. When researching this area, we learned that most, if not all of the restaurants in the historic district have specific “business hours” if you will. There isn’t a restaurant within a 25 miles radius that serves the type of food we will serve, nor offer the hospitality and customer service we will offer. We offer something totally new, exquisitely delicious and affordable!

In the past (2) years we have progressively made strides in solidifying our businesses, (RedWoods Enterprises LLC and RedWoods Salon & Spa), giving back to our community and making life what we want it to be, we are active members of the Kent Chamber of Commerce and the Kent Downtown Partnership. Another example of how good giving back feels, a percentage of every dollar we’ve made has been donated to organizations and companies such as the National Cancer Institute, Lupus Foundation, “It gets better” Project for LGBTQ youth, and a host of minority owned small businesses both in state and abroad.

As my friend, family member and a productive member of the community we are humbly asking for your support. Although ANY denomination of monies are welcomed we encourage you to give from the heart and be good to yourself! The more you support, the better chance WE have to make a difference; not only in the lives of others, but for your own self-gratification!

Your contribution will be used for start-up costs such as obtaining the needed licenses, permits marketing promotions, equipment and supplies. Our target goal is to raise $30,000, sounds huge but let’s do the math, if 300 of our friends, family and community supporters contribute $100/person...WE MEET OUR GOAL!
