On July 31st I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I was shoot six times in my back. This resulted in me being paralyzed from the shoulders down! I am 25 years old and this took everything from me. I am now out of the hospital and at home but it is still hard! I still have a lot of medical supplies I need that my insurance will not cover. I am not able to work even though I’d give anything to be able to work again. my doctors appointments which is averaging 4-5 a week. I hate to ask as I’m usually the one helping others. It’s been so hard not being able to be there for other people and being the one relying on others. Currently we are working on making our ramp longer before winter and fixing our van to make sure it is reliable transportation for us.
