Let's help Addis's family to bring his remains back home

Remembering Addis Mekonnen:

Addis Mekonnen was a vibrant and caring young man, known for his laughter, and caring for others and deep love for his family, especially for the youth and kids. Tragically, he was taken from us far too soon as a result of a brain aneurysm. His infectious laughter and genuine concern for those around him left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed his path. His remarkable ability to fill any space with joy and kindness will be profoundly missed. The sudden departure of such a compassionate soul serves as a poignant reminder of life's fragile and unpredictable nature. His memory will continue to be cherished, and all who held him close will deeply feel his absence.

Addis returned from his homeland with his dad to have him visit the USA. He took his dad to the ocean for the first time on Monday, and both Addis and Dad had a great time at the beach. The next day, Tuesday night, Addis came down with a bad headache. Then, he was rushed to the hospital and died two weeks and a half later, with his family and community by his side. Now, sadly, the family will return home with his remains.

Addis Mekonnen had made his home in the Portland Beaverton area for the past seven years, where he became known for his humor, his unwavering love for others, and his selflessness towards those around him. Despite his aspirations, he put his life on pause to support his parents, ensuring they had everything they needed before pursuing his dreams, and he succeeded in fulfilling that promise.

It was time to start his own life and he had recently become engaged. He had been making plans to return to his home country in six months, where he was set to marry his fiancée, but his life was tragically cut short by a sudden headache that claimed his life. Although we cannot restore Addis' presence or the ever-bright spark of his smile, we can all come together to assist in bringing his body back home to his loved ones who will never have the chance to see him again.

Let's carry forward his legacy by sharing smiles and spreading laughter to honor his memory.

አዲስ መኮንን የዋህ እና ከሌሎች ጋር በመተሳሰብ በመኖር የሚታወቅ፣ ቤተሰቡን የሚወድ እና ትልቁንም ትንሹንም አክባሪ አርቆ አሳቢ እና የዋህ ወጣት ነበር። በአሳዛኝ ሁኔታ, በአንጎል አኑኢሪዝም ምክንያት በጣም ብዙም ሳይቆይ ከእኛ በሞት ተለይቶናል የእሱ ተላላፊ ሳቅ እና በዙሪያው ላሉ ሰዎች ያለው እውነተኛ አሳቢነት መንገዱን በተሻገሩት ሁሉ ላይ የማይጠፋ ምልክት ጥሏል። የትኛውንም ቦታ በደስታ እና በደግነት የመሙላት አስደናቂ ችሎታው በጥልቅ ይናፍቃል። የእንደዚህ አይነት ሰው ነፍስ በአሳዛኝ ሁኔታ በድንገት መውጣቷ ደካማ እና ያልተጠበቀ እንዲሁም ልብን የሚነካ ክስተት ነው :: የእሱ አለመኖር እሱን በቅርበት ለሚያውቁት ሁሉ ጥልቅ ሀዘንእንዲሰማቸው ያደረገ መጥፎ አጋጣሚ ነው::

አዲስ መኮንን ላለፉት ሰባት ዓመታት በፖርትላንድ ቢቨርተን አካባቢ ሲኖር ነበር :: በዚያም በቀልድ እና በየዋህነት እንዲሁም ባለው የማይናወጥ ፍቅር እና ሰው አክባሪነቱ በዙሪያው ላሉት ሁሉ ከራስ ወዳድነት ነፃ በሆነ መንገድ ተከባብሮ እና ተስማምቶ በመኖር ይታወቅ ነበር ። ምንም እንኳን የራሱ ምኞት እና ህልም የነበረው ቢሆንም ፣ ወላጆቹን ከራሱ በማስቀደም የራሱን ህልም ወደ ጏን በመተው የወላጆቹን የኑሮ ሁኔታ ለማሻሻል ያለፋትን ዓመታት ያለመታከት ሲባዝን እና ሲለፋ ነበር ያሳለፈው።

የራሱን ሕይወት ለመጀመር ጊዜው ነበር, እና በቅርብ ጊዜ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ሄዶ ቀለበት አስሮ ነበር የተመልሰው :: በስድስት ወራት ውስጥ ወደ አገሩ ለመመለስ እና ጋብቻ ለመፈፀም ቀን ቆርጦ ነበር የተመለሰው እንዲሁም ወላጆቹንም ሀገር ለማሳየት ለመጀመሪያ ወደ አሜሪካ ይዟቸው መጥቶ ነበር ነገር ያሰበው ሁሉ ሳይሳካ ህልሙም ህይወቱም በሞት ተደምድሟል :: ምንም እንኳን የአዲስን መኖር ወይም የፈገግታውን ብሩህ ብልጭታ መመለስ ባንችልም፣ ሁላችንም አንድ ላይ ሆነን ሰውነቱን እንደገና የማየት እድል ወደሌላቸው ወዳጆቹ እንዲመለስ ልንረዳው እንችላለን።

አስከሬኑን ወደሀገር ቤት ለመመለስ ሁላችንም የቻልነውን እንድንለግስ በእግዚአብሔር ስም ጥሪያችንን እናቀርባለን።
