After graduating with high honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he majored in English, Roland's passion for education led him on a transformative path.

His commitment to making a difference took him to South Korea, where he taught English and created a groundbreaking program that connected Korean students with their peers in Australia through live video interactions. Roland's innovation and dedication were evident as he tirelessly worked to bridge cultural divides and create meaningful educational connections across borders.

Roland continued to make waves as he moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he held pivotal roles as a dean of students, math and biology teacher, and principal. Under his leadership, the academic, staff culture, and student culture goals of the community were successfully met, leaving an indelible mark of positive change.

Roland is now pursuing the prestigious Global Executive Doctoral program at the University of Southern California (USC), focusing on learning policies and practices from around the world to better serve low-income communities in America.
