For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Misty. I am the daughter of Julie & Ronnie. My mom and dad are both positive for Covid. On August 8th my mom went to the ER with symptoms of the stomach virus. She had been very sick two days prior. They tested her for Covid and said she was negative. They sent her home with the diagnosis of the stomach bug. When she woke on August 11th she had complained stating she hurt all over her body and felt like she had the flu. I advised her to go and get retested and she did that very day. Again, she showed to have a negative Covid result. She continued to get worse and figured she was just sick and would get over it in a few days. By Saturday night August 15th she was extremely sick and my dad insisted he was taking her back to the ER. They ran labs, test, xrays and we found out that she had Covid pneumonia. She was then admitted. She continued to get worse as the days progressed. On August 19th she was taken to CCU because she could not breath and they had her maxed out on the CPAP. She struggled for days until finally having to be put on the Ventilator on Aug 24th. She has been fighting ever since. In the meantime my grandfather that lives with my parents tested positive for Covid so my dad has been trying to take care of him until my dad tested positive as well. I have 3 very dear people in my life all fighting this horrific virus right now. At this time my mom is starting to have issues with her heart from all the issues related to the virus. This has been extremely difficult on all of us not being able to be there with mom as she fights for her life, but it has been even more difficult on my dad. They have been married for 44years and are the best of friends. So to see my dad go through this pain right now is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. In the meantime he has been trying to take care of my poppy and himself all while being sick. Mom is the rock in that household, she takes care of everything from taking my poppy to his Dr appointments to taking care of all the bills. My dad has been trying to do the best he can and it’s extremely hard on our family because no one can go over there or be there to help them with them being positive. Both of my parents have been out of work for weeks now. And we are uncertain on how long mom will be on the vent. My dad & mom are the type that they would never ask anyone for anything no matter how hard they are struggling. I know the bills are piling up and the medical bills are coming in as well. I have been asked by many “what can I do” and right now I just want to try and take as much stress off of them as possible. Things are going to get tight very soon if not already (again they would never let you know) but I just want to help them any way possible and I was suggested to make this page for them to help them out in the days to come whether it be for bills, utilities, food, medication, medical bills, deductibles or what have you. If you know my parents you know they are the most loving, caring & giving people in this whole world so I just want to take as much stress off of them as possible and help them for once in this time of need.
