Please donate toward Aderinsola's funeral cost

We are starting this fundraiser for our dear friend and brother Peter Olayinka towards the funeral of his dear wife Aderinsola Okeyinka. Her sudden demise on the 14th of February 2024 has left us –friends and colleagues reeling in shock and dismay. Life indeed springs surprises that can throw us off balance sometimes.

Aderinsola was until her death a beautiful soul, an outstanding student of the Career Development department at Nottingham Trent University, and was only 3 months away from her graduation when tragedy struck.

The incident:

Around 6am on 14th February, when Aderinsola called her husband who was at work, and complained of severe pain and discomfort. Yinka rushed back home since that was quite unusual of Aderinsola. What was supposed to be an inconsequential incident snowballed into the most traumatic day for the couple as she was rushed by ambulance into Queen’s Medical Centre hospital. She was wheeled straight to the theatre as her health had quickly deteriorated during the 2-hour wait for the ambulance. By 9 pm, She had lost so much blood and her vital organs had started shutting down. Despite spirited efforts by the medical team, she passed on leaving Yinka broken and bewildered on the 14th February which was on Valentine's Day.

Your donation would lift a huge weight off Yinka’s shoulders knowing that he won’t have to be overwhelmed about the unplanned costs arising from his wife’s sudden demise. They would go towards covering the cost of his wife’s funeral expenses in the UK and ancillary costs of keeping her memory alive. This would help in giving Yinka space to grieve with dignity and gradually come to terms with his new reality as a widower who must start life all over again without his soulmate. We believe that even in this dark tunnel of gloom and despair, our gifts of love and cash no matter how little will help light Yinka’s way to a bright new day.
