Hello everyone,

My name is Grace Leek, and it is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and heartbreaking passing of my cousin, Ader (Adair) Deng Chuol, who left us on Friday, June 27th, 2025.

I have created this GoFundMe page to support Adair’s family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will go directly toward funeral arrangements and help ease the financial burden as we prepare to lay Adair to rest.

Adair was a blessing not only to his family, but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His siblings shared these words about the deep impact he had on their lives:

“Writing about someone you love after they’re gone is one of the hardest things to do. No words feel like enough, and saying them out loud makes the loss feel more real. That’s how it feels trying to talk about Adair.

We didn’t just love him—we leaned on him. He had a quiet way of showing up that made you feel like things would be okay. He looked out for our mom, helped around the house, and truly spent time with us. He made us laugh, challenged us in FIFA and in conversation, and always made space for others without ever needing recognition.

He carried himself with a calm, steady presence that grounded everyone around him. Losing him at the young age of 21 is a weight we still can’t fully comprehend. It’s not just the pain of losing who he was—it’s the ache of everything we thought we’d still have. More days. More conversations. More of him.”

Adair was a light in all of our lives. He was meant for so much more. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit and the love he shared will never fade. We will carry him with us always.

As we walk through this time of grief, we humbly ask for your support in honouring Adair’s life. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help our family as we face the unexpected costs of saying goodbye to someone we love so deeply.
