In the early hours of November 7th, 2025, the world lost one of its brightest souls, Aden.
Anyone who knew Aden knows how loved he was and how deeply he touched the lives of so many throughout the Newcastle and Maitland community. He was always up for a chat, willing to help anyone, and could put a smile on your face even on your hardest days. His presence was warm, kind and unforgettable.
On behalf of the Nankervis family, we are reaching out to help ease the weight that comes after such a heartbreaking loss. Life does not pause for grief. The bills still come in and funeral costs can be overwhelming. Our hope is to take away some of that financial strain so this beautiful family can spend time together, mourning and remembering their boy without the added pressure of having to return to work too soon.
All funds raised will go directly to the family to give Aden the send off he deserves and to help them through this unimaginable time. Any remaining funds will be donated to the Black Dog Institute, an organisation that held a special place in Aden’s heart and continues to do such important work in mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Aden’s story is a reminder that it ain’t weak to speak. Let’s come together as a community to honour Aden, to support the Nankervis family and to keep his light shining in the hearts of all who loved him.
