Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. It is with great joy and a deep sense of reflection that I address you today after several eventful months. Since November 12, 2023, I have embarked on significant milestones in my life: marrying my beloved in a ceremony filled with love, relocating from California back to Florida, and starting a new chapter as a Family Nurse Practitioner. These transitions have brought both happiness and adjustment as I settle into these new roles.
Amidst these changes, my heart holds a profound ache for my dear Adelle, whose memory continue to inspire me daily. Her words, spoken before her illness took her speech, resonate with me deeply, "Mommy when God heals me, I want to travel all over the world telling others about Jesus. EJ is going to preach, Micah will read the scriptures, and I will sing." Her courage and faith, even in the face of adversity, leave an indelible mark on my soul.
I recall a poignant moment after one of Adelle's treatments when, exhausted in a Target parking lot, I saw her joy despite her medical challenges. Her simple yet profound words, "God is always good!" To my astonishment, I said, "What?" She then repeated, "God is always good!!" These words remain a source of strength and perspective, guiding me through both joyous and difficult times.
As I embark on this new phase of my journey, I carry with me the lessons of love, resilience, and faith that Adelle imparted. Her legacy fuels my resolve to channel my grief into positive impact, just as she envisioned. My longing for heaven grows, knowing she will be there free from the burden of sickness and mortality.
Thank you for allowing me to share these reflections with you. Adelle’s memory continues to illuminate my path, reminding me of the boundless power of love and faith.
Moving forward from here, despite the challenges, I am resolute in advancing the mission of Adelle's Smile Foundation. However, I cannot achieve this alone—I require your support. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your willingness to stand with me in this endeavor. Thank you for your unwavering support and prayers.
The purpose of Adelle’s Smile Foundation is to bring hope, comfort and support to families facing a diagnosis of DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). This organization will assist families with, but not limited to, medical expenses, traveling, rent, utility bills, and emotional support. The DIPG journey is a very difficult one and we want families to know that they are not alone.
Over the past few months, I have dedicated myself to ensuring ASF remains steadfast on its course. We have an amazing board that is determined to help ASF reach its goals and spread the love of Jesus as Adelle had envisioned.

"Moses was dead, but his influence did not die with him. It was to live on, reproducing itself in the hearts of his people. The memory of that holy, unselfish life would long be cherished, with silent, persuasive power molding the lives even of those who had neglected his living words. As the glow of the descending sun lights up the mountain peaks long after the sun itself has sunk behind the hills, so the works of the pure, the holy, and the good shed light upon the world long after the actors themselves have passed away. Their works, their words, their example, will forever live. “The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.” Psalm 112:6.
