Adeline has been admitted to UC Davis Animal Hospital on Wednesday night. On Tuesday night, the worst happened to any fur-parent. Adeline was playing like everything was great and then after a couple coughs she went still. She still didn’t want to move after a couple hours and her breathing became very very labored. Her gums were extremely pale and there was no CRT. I couldn’t get her into the vet that night because of the storm. The next day my local vet ran X-rays, an ultrasound, and bloodwork. She found fluid in her abdomen, elevated white and red blood cells, low protein, and her liver enzymes (ALT) were too elevated to get a number. She was then transferred to UC Davis Vet Hospital to keep her out of liver failure and diagnose what’s causing this. Thankfully, she is stable and comfortable. So far the estimate is for $3,000-4,100 which will not include treatment of whatever we find. Whatever you can donate would be so appreciated!!
