Adelia, born on the Azores island of Sao Jorge, leaves behind a husband, four adult children and a brother. A life long handcrafter, Adelia was known for gifting new families handmade baby blankets, and on holidays gift baskets of Portuguese goodies. Her love of handwork and good food was passed on to her children. Although Adelia did not have COVID-19 the end of her life may not have come so soon had there been space for her in our local ICU. Adelia was on her way to Santa Rosa when she passed away midflight. The overcrowding of our local hospitals is a direct result of the recent COVID-19 spike. Adelia's family is urging everyone to please get vaccinated, wear your mask, and follow CDC guidelines, if not for yourself then for the next family.

We appreciate any help with covering the cost of the funeral, hospital bills, and other end of life costs.

Adelia will be missed.
