ADELAIDE IS ALONE - a short film by Olivia Das

Hi there! My name is Olivia Das and I am a nineteen year old actress and writer living on Mayne Island, British Columbia. I have been participating in the arts since I was six years old and I emerged into the film scene when I was fifteen.

ADELAIDE IS ALONE is the story of a teenage girl processing through grief, girlhood, and acceptance after a traumatic life event sends her spiraling. She has always felt extremely connected to nature, the ocean especially. What happens when her safe space is overtaken by nightmares from her past?

This screenplay is important to me because it amplifies the voices of the weak and underprivileged while serving as a cathartic tool for myself. I have dealt with my fair share of mental health struggles and writing has always been a way for me to cope.

The funds will be used to resource equipment, sets, enter festivals, and pay the cast and crew.
