Hello, my name is Tamica Woodson Owoniyi and I hosting this fundraiser to help my sister in Christ, Adebukola Owoniyi. Adebukola is the mother of my 5 five step (bonus) children. Her children, Feranmi, Dunmininu, Michael, Misimi, and Gbotemi are all college or high school students. At the time of Adebukola's passing, she was on a visit in Canada with her oldest son. The children worked hard over the summer to help bring their mother to Canada, so hopefully they all would get to visit with her during this upcoming summer vacation. The four youngest children had not seen their mother in person since they came to America.

Adebukola was a loving mother, who loved her children and loved helping others. When I met her over seven years ago in Nigeria, we bonded and became such good friends/sisters and when their dad and I wanted to bring the kids back to America to go to school here, she gave me her blessing after spending several days together.

Her untimely death has been such a shock to her children, family, and friends. None of them were prepared for this. The children wanted to send her back home to Nigeria for a burial, but the cost starts at $25,000, so the goal is give her a burial in Canada, so the children will have a place to go visit her. Currently, our finances won't allow for us all to be there for her burial, but the plan is get her buried in Canada and by the summer all the children can travel together to her gravesite.

Adebukola is in a foreign country without insurance, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help the children properly bury their mother.
