Dear Friends and Family,

My cousin, Addison Jirsa, is a beautiful, smart, strong and active 13 year old with idiopathic scoliosis. Addison was diagnosed when she was 7 years old and wore a brace for 3 years.  She has daily pain with  spinal curve of 60 degrees in her thoracic spine and 34 degrees in her lumbar spine.

We feel extremely blessed and grateful to announce that Addison will be having major surgery to help correct her scoliosis. Her surgery will take place in New Hampshire at Darthmouth-Hitchcock hospital.  The surgery will be a hybrid of thoracic fusion and VBT lumbar to maintain as much flexibility in her spine as possible. She will be in the hospital for at least 4-5 days and not able to  fly home to Seattle for at least another week. She will not be able to lift, twist or bedn for 3 months and will not be able to return to her beloved ice skating for 6-8 months.

The Jirsa's are seeking support and help with medical bills, loss of wages, transportation, food and lodging.
