Addi’s Gender Affirming Surgery Fund

Hi there! My name is Addi Pomares, thank you for taking the time to visit this page and read this. I’m a trans drag entertainer living in Vancouver and in the next few months I’ll be undergoing Facial Feminization Surgery as a step in my journey of being and becoming the woman I am. Since leaving my home in Alberta and coming to Vancouver to pursue my career and a certain level of personal safety, I’ve been able to grow and take steps forward in my transition that I never believed would be possible for me. I’ll be travelling to Mexico to see a doctor who I feel is the right surgeon for me and can give me the gender affirming results I’m looking for. Following my surgery, I’ll be taking several months off of work and performing to recover at home in my safe space and to prepare to re-enter the world, a little more Addi than ever. I’ve been saving money for this surgery for over a year but beyond that, any and all funds raised here by my incredible community will go towards my surgery costs and to my life expenses during my recovery. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to access this life changing surgery and take steps forward in my life. I’m also eternally grateful for the unwavering support of my transition so far from my family, my friends and my community. This has been a dream of mine since before the beginning of my transition and to be quite honest, I still can’t believe it’s real. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you! I love you!
