Up until a week ago, we thought we were having one baby girl. To our surprise, we found out we were having identical twins at our 20 week ultrasound. This was such exciting news!! However, nothing could have prepared us for what was to come.
We are asking for tremendous prayer and donations to help paying for medical bills and to help us have a place to stay in Dallas. My husband and I need a miracle. We found out that our twins have significant complications, and the doctors think that one of them may not make it. He gave her a very low survival chance from the data he had. Although, we know that our God is bigger than a doctors thoughts. So, we are still praying and fighting for her.
We are here in Dallas with the best specialists. The doctors say that the greatest chance we have for them both is to sit and wait to see if our Madilynn heals and a miracle happens. In other words, we need to keep monitoring them in hopes that both are able to make it to the age of viability to survive and be born together. We have to see the specialists twice a week for monitoring in hopes that both make it, but also to go to immediate surgery to try and save Addilynn if something were to happen to Madilynn. The first appointment showed slight improvements that our littles are putting up a fight. So, if things continue as they are, we still have a chance! As you can probably guess, this sort of medical treatment is extremely expensive. My husband and I are also living in a hotel because it is too dangerous for me to travel. Please keep us in your prayers and if you can donate, please do! I'm on FMLA and not getting paid right now. we have gone through most of our savings and we still have a long hard path to make sure our girls have a fighting chance.
