Over the last 9 months Addie seemed to keep coming down with chest colds. On Monday, during her Jv basketball tryouts she had a dizzy spell that sent her vision dark. Tuesday, urgent care told them it was a virus. By Thursday she woke up with breathing problems. Jennie took her to a different urgent care, and thankfully they sent her for a chest X-ray. When they called Jennie into the hall this family’s lives changed forever. They told her the X-ray was very abnormal, finding a large mass in Addies chest. She needed a cat scan immediately. They were sent to the hospital, and got Jamie to meet them there. After a very long wait, a cat scan confirmed the mass. They were transferred to Albany med via ambulance Thursday night. Friday morning they prepped Addie for a biopsy. The main mass is about the size of a tennis ball. The oncologist is optimistic, and fairly certain it is Hodgkins Lymphoma. It is going to be a a time consuming and draining road ahead. Jennie and Jamie will be making multiple trips to Albany, taking time off of work, and also taking care of Brady and keeping his schedule as normal as possible. Addie is 1/2 of their world, if you want to help, assisting them with these things will mean more than anyone can imagine so they can focus completely on Addie's recovery.
