Addi Dunavent's melanoma fight

4 year old Addi Dunavent was diagnosed with melanoma. She is currently a patient at St. Jude. She recently had surgery where a biopsy was performed. They didn't get the news that they were hoping for. The biopsy results from the lymph node came back positive for melanoma. She will have scans either this week or next to make sure it has not spread beyond the lymph nodes and meet with the doctor after that. Even though this is not the best case scenario, they are remaining strong in their faith. Her parents say they are so very blessed. "No parent ever wants to hear that their 4 yr old has cancer, BUT as cancers go this is one that has a good prognosis for her age. I have to remind myself sometimes how much worse things could be and how this is the plan that God has for my tough little cookie. She has handled all of this with unimaginable grace and strength. I believe that all the prayers and help from a few guardian angels have brought us this far and will continue to see them through." This account was established to help with expenses over the coming months while they travel back and forth to Memphis. Clarksdale has always rallied behind our sick friends. It's time to do it again!
