Support Barbara's Journey to Independence

AMAZING!!! From outside donations, we have been able to raise over 65% of our goal!!! Let's finish this strong! It isnt too late to pledge or donate!! We will take all help we can get!

In April of 2022, my mother, Barbara Hoffman-Griffin, became wheelchair bounds after the deterioration of her hip joints. The original hopes were that she would be able to have the surgery needed to replace her hips, so that she could ambulate without the use of a walker/wheelchair. My mom has been restricted within the limits of Upper Sandusky since November 2021 to date.

Recently, our family was offered the ability to purchase a used wheelchair accessible van in fantastic condition. The only catch is the van is in desperate need of new transmission. It is our fullest belief that having this van accessible for our mother would be a huge benefit to her emotional, physical, social, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. We hope that we can involve her in more family reunions, take her to church, travel recreationally, and transport her to her medical appointments.

Family and friends, we want to personally invite you to join us and be a part of our efforts on this “Love Offering,” with our goal to obtain the upwards of $5650.00, which would cover the costs of the transmission, labor, and taxes.

If we can just secure another 40 donations of $50 dollars, we can hit our goal. Any additional money that becomes available we would use to help pay for insurance, and other necessary repairs and maintenance. Please know there is no gift that is too small, and no matter the amount given, we are grateful for any gift that you are willing to share with us for the benefit of our mother. Know that your contribution will directly benefit Barbara as well and creates a rippling effect of care, love, and support.
