Help Spencer Move To Accessible Studio

Hello. My name is Spencer, and I am a 23 (soon to be 24) year old crisis counselor in training as well as a blogger who happens to be chronically ill and disabled. It has been a dream of mine to be able to live alone, but most importantly, in an accessible apartment where I can move about with minimal pain.

My parents (of which I live with now) are planning a move outside of New York. My certification for crisis counseling will only allow me to practice in the state of new york, and for the sake of my body, it is better for me to stay here. Near my doctors, my hospital, and my support network. Moving to a hotter climate will cause flare ups for me, which makes it nearly impossible to do anything. I am also allergic to the sun, therefore going out in a more tropical climate will be truly damaging to my health.

I am doing the best to get myself on my feet, but sadly many jobs I have applied for will not take me because I cannot stand for 8+ hours at a time. I have a disability claims hearing, but due to my age, I don't see that working in my favor.
I want to get my certification, then continue gaining more education to become an advocate in state funded hospitals where I can take care of more people, especially people in need + people with disabilities. But right now, managing this on my own is difficult. And I have a very hard time asking for help. But this is the best I can do with what I have.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for taking the time. Thank you for caring.
- Spencer.
