A DaVine Desire!!

Donation protected
I am David Hoffman. I am Vicki's husband as well as the father to our seven beautiful children. I just had my 47th birthday yesterday. I was wanting to share with you my perspective on Vicki's efforts as of late.......
For eighteen years of our 23 years together, as a married couple, I have been the sole bread winner while She busily took care of our children. I have been an owner who has taken His companies from as few as two employees to forty in less than five years and have been very successful in doing this. Three years ago, I was even in the position to realize that we would be mortgage free in my mid to late forties! I never in my wildest dreams thought that everything I worked so hard for could be taken away just as quick. In less than three years, we have lost everything and have been forced to sell the home just to keep our bills paid. If it had not been for the anonymous donor who had given us money last year, as well as receiving food donations from our Church, we would have been on the streets months ago....  We have been trying in vain to get something going for the last two years. I have tried real estate and got sick. I have tried building another electrical/contracting company and got sick. I apply for jobs and when I get a call back and have to tell the prospective employer I have Crohn's and have been hospitalized in the last six months, they don't call back. I cannot qualify for any form of disability coverage. Trust me I have tried. If I could, even that would only cover 30% of our actual living expenses. Vicki has a real shot at helping us if you will consider contributing to the cause. I have never asked for hand outs all my life and even now it kills me to do so. I don't know what else we can do in a short time that will get us the income we need to raise our family of which the oldest one at home is 11 and the youngest is two and a half. Please, please, please help us meet our goal so we can get back on our feet once more. Your contribution of even $10 puts us that much closer to our goal. One less trip to Star Bucks or one less visit to Timmys for most of us would cover this request off and you would never notice it gone but my family would be forever grateful! I am praying that you will consider the extent of my plea and realize that this GoFundMe account is NOT about building a business off other peoples' backs, but a request to help support us while we try and get something going.
Well, I'm Vicki. Wife of 22 years & Mother of 7.

My husband had a successful electrical business for many years and I was able to stay at home and start to raise our family. About 10 years ago my husband got sick and never got better. Due to his illness,  in the last 5 years, he has had surgeries and numerious hospital stays, as well as been through the full spectrum of drugs for his particular disease and has had numerious complications from the surgeries as well as negative reactions to some of the drugs that would be less costly.I've been selling at the farmer's markets and working out of a commercial kitchen to prepare frozen 'homecooked" meals to seniors and busy families.
We have now found a house in the heart of Downtown Stony Plain, to turn into "My Kitchen", but ...I need your help!
If I can add a commercial kitchen & Barrier free bathroom, I can open Vicki's DaVine Food Services.
I only have until June 15th to get all of this together to be able to get the whole thing up and running before the December 31, 2018 deadline.
Right now we have temporary equipment to use so I can continue to provide meals for my regular customers.
But in order to make this a viable source of income for my family, I need your help!
I've never really been one to ask for help, but I know I need it NOW! I know there are lots of great people out there. When we had a sucessful business and more money, we helped out where we could. I remember thinking "maybe one day, someone will return the favor", not once thinking we would really need this kind of help ourselves.
I can not express my heartfelt gratitude that you have taken the time to read my story. I look forward to being able to share the Love with my children as I explain to them that a stranger believed in us and helped us out.
Thanks in advance for your support!
