Five years ago, my life changed in an instant. I was in a car accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down. I broke my neck at C4 and C5, fractured my back, suffered internal bleeding, and had a traumatic head injury that required 56 staples and over 200 stitches.
Since then, I’ve worked hard through rehab, school, and more setbacks than I can count. Despite ongoing health challenges, I’ve kept going. I’m currently living at home and still rely on others to get to and from rehab and appointments.
But recently, I reached a major milestone: I earned my adaptive driver’s license.
Now, I’m raising funds to buy an adapted vehicle I can drive myself. This would be truly life-changing. Having my own vehicle would mean:
- I could finally attend a four-year college in person.
- I’d have access to more job opportunities.
- I could get myself to rehab, therapy, the gym, and social events, without needing someone else to drive me.
- And most importantly, I could begin living life more independently.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings me closer to that freedom. Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting me in taking this next step!
