Hi I'm Em 45, Newquay.
I've had a few bad years but this one I got Squamous Cell Carcinoma in my leg. It went to my bone and muscle so the NHS kindly chopped it off.

All was well with recovery, then when I finally moved to accessible home 2 mo the later, I got the call.....I had found a lump in my upper thigh of amputated leg. Thought it was just swelling, had PET scan... The cancer had spread to my lymph nodes and pelvis. I am now receiving immunotherapy every 3 weeks for foreseeable future.

About my plee for financial help. Cornwall is hard to get about even when you're not in a wheelchair but impossible in one. I started receiving Mobility PIP to be used for car. Good new is I can get car to help me get to appointments and treatment and work, but I do not qualify for adaptions grant as I work.

I have managed to keep my job over last few months, working from home when I can. But obviously SSP only goes so far and Universal Ctedit is minimal.i only need £610 to pay for the Wheelchair Hosit and Left Foot accelerator moving.

Please help if you can. I am supposed to collect car in September and have no way to save to pay for adaptions as not a penny goes on anything but rent, bills, food and travel.

I'm not a person to ask for help but this will truly change my life. Funds will be used for the exact cost of adaptions £610
UPDATE!! ANYTHING over will go to MacMillan Cancer Support. I have been going to The Cove MacMillan Centre at Treliske and their work is amazing. Thank you for reading
