Adaptive Equipment for Wade's Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Stacey Batchelor. On April 12, 2025, my son, Wade Batchelor, was taking prom pictures when a tree limb fell and struck him. The accident resulted in a complete spinal cord injury, leaving him paralyzed from his navel down. Wade was in the ICU in Tyler for a week and then transferred to Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation in Dallas, where he stayed for 38 days. He is now finally home to continue his recovery.
Wade is an extraordinary young man, a dedicated student-athlete, and a true example of strength and resilience. Wade is a very active kid who was involved in basketball, baseball, golf, FFA, and Beta Club. Our goal is to raise enough money to buy him a piece of adaptive equipment called a VertaCat. This will allow Wade to continue to play golf and do other outdoor activities, which will greatly improve his quality of life.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read about Wade’s story.
